The doors (other than the front door) have a clutch to keep the door in a desired position. To use this open the door and lift the handle when the door is open to the desired position. To release the door press the handle down.
Some people find the door to the upstairs balcony hard to lock. If this is the case when you leave please feel free to leave this unlocked. To lock this, and the door to the verandah, you need to pull the door firmly shut (they have thick seals in line with the property's insulation), lift the handle right up, let it go and turn the key.
We would recommend leaving the key for the property in the key safe when you go out. That way the first guests back will always be able to access the property and there is less chance of losing the key.
The bins can be found outside if you walk from the downstairs covered area to the left of the property. Bin collection is on a Friday. We would appreciate if you could put both bins out on the gravel road by the parking space on Thursday night/ Friday morning. Alternate bins are collected each week.
The windows have a safety catch to prevent accidents. Should you wish to open the windows more fully press the plastic button by the hinge in; you will then be able to open the window fully. Please exercise caution in opening the windows fully, particularly on the first floor.
You will find a wind up torch in each bedroom along with a hair dryer (other than the bunk room). All bedrooms have separate privacy blinds and black-out blinds.
All sinks have refillable hand wash. This is an eco, vegan product; details of which are available on request. We refill these to save on plastic waste.
Towels are provided for each guest (bath and hand) and a hand towel at each sink.
A cot and booster chair are available. Please request these in your additional booking information.
